The Intro:
Which one are we on now? Seven? Six? Oh okay, six, got it. HERE WE ARE, LADIES AND GENTS! “Mission: Impossible – Fallout” is officially here and gracing silver screens all over the nation and world. My quick early take? I actually did not care much for this film as it started to gain attention. I figured I would catch it regardless but I initially had no major excitement for it despite the renown the franchise has. However, after trailers began to release, my excitement shot up drastically. These were some of the most exciting trailers I have seen in awhile which fired up my excitement. So now, here we are. Tom Cruise is in the role of Ethan Hunt yet again for his sixth go around. Here is the Oberrated review of “Mission: Impossible – Fallout”!

IMDB Summary:
“Ethan Hunt and his IMF team, along with some familiar allies, race against time after a mission gone wrong.”

The Oberrating:
Folks, if you have not already watched a Mission Impossible film prior to this, you simply do not know the thrill ride you are about to strap in for. These films are high octane, high intensity films that will have you gasping for air scene after scene. “Mission: Impossible – Fallout” is no exception to this exact statement. Moment after moment, scene by scene… the stunts, the action, the twists and turns… this film is in your face in its entirety. If you want to let loose and have a thrill ride without hitting your local amusement park, this film is what you are looking for.

One thing about this film that demands focus and is already something I spoke on. The stunts in this film are absolutely mind blowing and constant. That, on its own, is entertaining as is. However, take a step back for a moment during these sequences and remember one thing: Nearly all these stunts are actually Tom Cruise doing them and are actually that damn dangerous. This element just adds so much suspense and entertainment for me. The man is insane. I mean, we already knew that but, I digress.

My negative points for the film are actually kind of strange to nitpick on. One, a specific scene is a tad bit unbelievable for me. The film itself is obviously filled with unbelievable and impossible (AHHHHAAA!!) moments all throughout it, but my focus lies with one specific scene that happens far too coincidentally. Clearly I can not explain without spoilers but hit me up, I can explain, or you can see it yourself and try to pick it out. Two, some of the dialogue spread through about two or three moments were a tad bit silly for me. They were not groundbreaking or rating changing silly moments, but just a bit silly. Three, and lastly, what was probably the driving force for entertainment, became a bit of a distraction of sorts. The constant stunt work and thrills within the film felt like they became what the movie was all about. A scene would not be pushed due to in depth dialogue or subtle moments but only by some adrenaline infused action sequence or stunt. Again, not much of a nitpick in regards to the last one.

Side note: Vanessa Kirby is outstanding in her supporting role. I found myself enthralled in every scene she was in. Huge presence in such a small amount of screen time.

The Wrap-Up:
“Mission: Impossible – Fallout” is quite possibly the summer action blockbuster that must be seen. The 100 mile an hour action sequences will take your breath away and only deliver them over and over again for a whole two and a half hours straight. Not only is the action off the charts but the film is as funny as ever. Much to the credit of this stellar cast. Also, to piggyback on the comedy of the film, another note I want to make is how self-aware this film is. The moments of comedy where the characters seem to poke fun at themselves and the events happening within the film is simply hilarious itself. Besides a few reaching negative points of mine, there is not much to take away from this film. “Mission: Impossible – Fallout” is crazy fun that is fit to entertain the masses.
